Organizing My Yarn Stash with Bobble + Puff

I Need This System To Work

If you're like me, your crochet supplies tend to multiply when you're not looking. Between new skeins, half-finished WIPs, and that growing pile of notions and tools, it's easy for even the coziest craft room to spiral into chaos. You can check our all my prior organizing attempts HERE.

That’s why I recently started reorganizing my space with two products from Bobble + Puff—their Over-the-Door Yarn Organizer and Foldable Storage Cubes—and let me tell you: they’ve completely transformed the way I store my yarn and crochet supplies. You can watch me organizing in action in this video:

The Over-the-Door Yarn Organizer: Small Space Hero

This thing is a game-changer. The Bobble + Puff Over Door Yarn Storage Organizer turns any standard door into a vertical yarn command center. No drills, no tools—just hang it with the included sturdy rings, and you’re done in seconds.

Why I Love It:

  • 8 deep compartments: Perfect for skeins, larger WIPs, or even your favorite yarn cakes.

  • 10 mesh side pockets: Ideal for organizing crochet hooks, knitting needles, stitch markers, and scissors. (No more digging through random bags!)

  • Super sturdy: It holds up to 44 lbs, which is wild. I’ve got mine fully loaded and it’s holding strong.

  • Made from non-woven fabric: It feels durable, not flimsy, and gives me confidence that it’ll last through years of reorganizing and crafting marathons.

If you're low on space or want a no-fuss way to wrangle your supplies, this over-the-door organizer is 100% worth it.

Bobble + Puff Yarn Storage Cubes: Pretty, Practical, and Totally Customizable

Let’s talk bins. These Bobble + Puff Storage Cubes come in a 4-pack and are deceptively roomy—each one holds up to 15 lbs and fits perfectly into standard 12” cube shelves (you know, like those IKEA ones we all have).

What sets them apart?

  • Reversible design: One side has a clear window for showing off your yarn colors. The other has a label slot if you prefer a clean, minimalist look.

  • Split lid feature: You don’t have to completely open the bin to grab what you need. Just lift the flap and go!

  • Reinforced handles: I pack mine full and they hold up like champs.

I’ve started organizing by fiber type (cotton, wool, blends) and color families. It’s made my space more inspiring—and honestly, I spend less time looking for things and more time crocheting.

✨ Final Thoughts

Whether you're in a studio apartment or have a whole craft room to yourself, smart storage makes a huge difference. The Bobble + Puff system has helped me reduce clutter, showcase my yarn stash, and actually enjoy spending time in my creative space again.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by your supplies—or just want to give your space a refresh—I highly recommend these organizers. They're made by crafters, for crafters, and it shows in every detail.

My friend Kristen, of Kristen Crochets tried these organizers out too. Watch her video HERE to see her organizing experience!

How I Modified A Hexagon Cardi for Mid & Plus Size

Hexagon Cardigan Modifications Hey yarn lovers! If you're a midsize or plus-size crocheter looking for ways to customize your hexagon cardigan for a more flattering and comfortable fit, I’ve got some great tips for you. I recently finished my second hexagon cardi and made a few modifications that helped me feel more confident wearing it. Here’s what I learned! The Inspiration Behind My Second Hexagon Cardi A while back, I made a basic hexagon cardigan using Red Heart Super Saver yarn. While I loved the pattern and even won a blue ribbon at my county fair, I wasn’t sure I would actually wear it. It felt a bit too boxy and oversized for my liking. This time, I decided to use Herrschners Witches Brew yarn for a fun Halloween-inspired version. Get the yarn HERE . Since I wanted to ensure I would love wearing it, I made a few tweaks to improve the fit and feel. Key Modifications for a Better Fit 1. Adjusting the Shoulder Fit Instead of making the panels overly large, I measured my sho...

All The Details On This Popular Crochet Border

Perfect Border for Your Blanket Recently, one of my older YouTube Shorts started gaining a lot of attention. It featured a beautiful crochet border, but I didn’t go into much detail about it in the short. Since many viewers found it through searches for crochet borders, I wanted to take a moment to discuss it in more depth. The Inspiration Behind the Border The border I used in that video comes from the YouTube channel Hectanooga1, created by Emmy. She demonstrated the border on a small square, but I adapted it for my blanket. One key difference between my version and hers is that I used it on fleece rather than a crocheted piece. To prepare the fleece, I used a rotary cutter with a skip blade to create holes along the edge. Then, I worked a foundation row with Red Heart Super Saver yarn before adding the decorative border. If you want to use this border on a non-fleece blanket, you can simply crochet a round of double crochets before starting the decorative edge. My Favorite Bla...
